Community Needs

PIDE is presently involved with awareness and HIV education in three communities - Ellu, Aradhe and Ozoro - in Delta State, Nigeria. We conduct HIV/AIDS awareness throughout these communities. These communities are in need of:

A. Voluntary, Counseling and Testing (VCT) centers. Our goal is to secure financial support that will assist these communities to set up VCTs.

B. Transportation system to 1) transport people living with HIV/AIDS to and from clinics for definitive testing and treatment. 2) transport volunteers to their respective worksites. 3) distribute essential intems to people living with HIV/AIDS and/or clinics. 4) disseminate HIV/AIDS messages within communities. More vehicles are needed to implement this program, hence we are seeking contribution from individuals and organizations.
